Become Our Friend

You can always count on your friends! This applied to Rembrandt and certainly applies to The Rembrandt House Museum. Thanks to our loyal Society of Friends we have been able to realize many projects and wonderful acquisitions. As our Friend you become part of the inner circle of the museum and help build the future of the museum. For 75 euros you can become a Friend of the museum together with one other person (or make someone else a Friend). On this page you can read more about how to do this and which privileges you receive.

The Rembrandt House Museum was started at the beginning of the twentieth century as a citizen’s initiative. A museum founded by artists and friends. This still an important aspect of our museum. By becoming a Friend of the museum you can contribute to the long history of private support.

The Rembrandt House Museum has an active Society of Friends. Together we support this special museum, the house in which Rembrandt lived, loved and made his masterpieces. As our Friend you become part of the inner circle of the museum, support various initiatives in the museum and help build its future.

Friendship Has Its Perks

For 75 euros per year (for two persons) you become part of an engaged group of people with a common interest in Rembrandt and his time, in art and culture. But you also get:

Free admission to the museum and all exhibitions
Invitations to special guided tours of new exhibitions for Friends
Invitations to exclusive events in The Rembrandt House Museum, followed by a networking gathering over drinks, especially for friends
10% discount on all items in the museum store and the webshop
An unique, hand-printed etching after one of Rembrandt’s etching plates

Looking To Do More?

The Society of Friends of The Rembrandt House Museum is a culturele ANBI. Gifts of up to 2.500 euros are thereby 125% tax deductible. Becoming Our Friend Is Simple

Fill out the registration form below to become our Friend:

Membership applies to the current calendar year (from 1 January until 31 December). Registrations after 1 October are valid through the following calendar year.

Membership

By registering as our Friend, you authorize us to deduct the annual Friends fee automatically from the bank account submitted in the registration form. Should you have any questions, please get in touch with us via vrienden@rembrandthuis.nl.

Should you wish to cancel your membership as Friend, please send an email to vrienden@rembrandthuis.nl and provide us with your name, address and membership number. You can also us by mail: Vrienden van Het Rembrandthuis, p/a Jodenbreestraat 4, 1011 NK Amsterdam.

Giving Friendship As a Gift

You can also gift someone a Friends Membership for the current calendar year. At the end of the calendar year we will contact the new Friend directly about extending their membership.
